The approach
A crisis can begin a process of individuation.
My approach begins by creating an alliance in which you can feel at ease with the process. Treatment starts the moment you enter the room: our relationship becomes a catalyst for self-knowledge, initiating introspection and individuation. The medical perspective — including symptoms, sleep, health and medication history — is one way of understanding what you are experiencing. After our first meeting, I formulate your situation across four connected levels of analysis, each informing a corresponding level of intervention.
The formulation
Three questions — shape every formulation.
Why is it happening now?
Not only what the symptoms are, but why they arrive at this moment of your life. Sleep, stress, health, relationships and routines may all contribute.
What does it mean?
Symptoms carry meaning. Naming them clearly is the beginning — understanding what they are asking of you is the work.
How can I make sense of it?
From the perspective of your own spirituality — so the plan facilitates soul-searching, sense-making and individuation, not just symptom control.
One picture
Mind, body, soul — looked at together, not in separate boxes.
The first session
Ninety minutes — one matrix.
By the end of our first 90-minute session, I bring the picture together across four levels of analysis — biological, psychological, psychosocial, and values, motivation and spirituality. We identify possible vicious cycles and how to reverse them into virtuous ones. Interventions at the same four levels aim to create the conditions for health, direction and fulfillment.
A clear boundary
Psychedelic-informed — not psychedelic treatment.
I do not provide ketamine, psilocybin, MDMA or psychedelic-assisted therapy. What informs my work are the spiritual principles behind that tradition — meaning-making, reverence for inner experience, safety, embodiment and reflection — not the substances themselves. Everything stays inside a conventional clinical framework.
